What To Do When Something Goes Wrong In An Interview

We all know that proper preparation prevents poor performance, but sometimes one simply does not execute as well as desired during an interview.

Occasionally we become tongue-tied and ramble in answering an interviewer’s question, despite having diligently prepared for the interview. If this happens, we suggest stopping and saying, “let me rephrase that,” and succinctly restate your answer.

And if you find yourself at a loss for words, it’s perfectly acceptable to pause for a moment to collect your thoughts. Your interviewer will almost certainly appreciate your thoughtfulness and professionalism.
